Frequently Asked Questions

What is the project consultation process like?

The consultation process may be the single most important part of the entire project. Our initial onsite meeting has a couple purposes.

  1. To see the current condition of the project
  2. To get details on the scope of the project
  3. To guide the owners on design, implementation and need to know details.
  4. Most importantly, the initial meeting is a chemistry check between GSDB and the owner(s).

We understand that this is a large undertaking for owners, both financially and in terms of time commitment.  We are going to be working together closely, so it is imperative that there be a connection and a sense of trust during the process.

After the initial meeting, we go to work putting together an estimate and proposed schedule.

What kind of Quality Assurance inspections do you perform during construction?

Nothing is more important to us than the quality AND safety of your home .  We are onsite on a daily basis, and work hand in hand with the trades that complete each phase of the project. All of our Project Managers hold a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Construction Supervisor License and ensure the highest level of work.

Are you properly insured?

Absolutely! We hold a $1 Million Policy for General Liability Insurance, Worker’s Compensation Insurance and an additional $5 Million Umbrella policy.  Also, no trade is ever brought on one of our job-sites, without us obtaining a copy of their General Liability and Worker’s Compensation, as well.

Who is the point of contact during my project?

One of our Project Managers is directly in charge of your project, so you always have a single point of contact. They are often backed up by the other Project Managers and our Operations Coordinator. While some communications are still done over the phone, most often, all details are created, organized and completed via BuilderTrend.

This robust Construction Management Software allows us to track and share everything from the budget, schedule, invoicing, communication and even material selections made by the owners. We feel that our BuilderTrend Software is an invaluable tool to improve communication and trust with our clients.
